hondo Main hall of Temple (Hon-do)
There are many facilities in our temple area. Hon-do is one of them, is a building where the Buddha, the principal image of the temple, and is enshrined. The principal image of worship at this temple is " Juichimen Kannon Bodhisattva ".
Both of " Makakasho Sonja (bharadvaja) " and " Ananda Sonja" are housed at the each both side of the principal and the sixteen " Rakan" are settled around of the principal.

Ihaido

Wooden Board Hall ( Ihai-do)
This Ihai-Do is also " Kaisan-do ".
Oshakasama, Dogen-zenji who was the founder of "Sotoshu" rerigion, Keizan-zenji spreaded the teachings of it, Kaizansama of this temple and successive chief priests are enshrined. * "Kaisan-do" is a building dedicated to the statue of "Kaisan" in a Buddhist temple.

main gate

Main Gate ( San-mon )
This gate was built in May 1969. This is the first building to welcome visitors to our Kikusenji Temple.
Cherry blossoms in spring and ginkgo in autumn add color to the majestic gate.

Sho-ro

Bell Tower ( Sho-ro)
This is the bell tower which is adjacent to the main gate.
The bell is engraved with the history of Kikusenji Temple and the name of the donor. This is mainly used for new year's eve bells now.

study

Back Study Room(Oku-Shoin)
The garden has a lot of various view depending on spring, summer, autumn and winter. We can enjoy a different elegance Japanese style with expansion of the tea room.

Shoin

Study Room(Shoin)
We use this shoin as a guest room.

zazen

Monastery (Zen-do)
This was built in July 2002.
It was done as a place to meet and mingle with each other and to do community Activities for local people in this area.
It is used for sutra copying which is called "Shakyo", buddhist dinners, neighborhood association meetings and children's zazen meditation.

akiba-den

Pray for fire protection

Akiba-den
We enshrine Akiba-sama as the god of fire.
On every November, we pray for fire protection to Akiba-sama.

Kobo-do

Kobo-do
This was relocated and rebuilt in 2003. We enshrine the priest whose name is Kobo-Daishi, who has connection to here Aichi Prefecture.

Cemetery

Cemetery
This has been with the local people since opening, is located in a quiet residential area and is cemetery which we can feel peace.

Kannon-sama

Kannon-sama
A statue of Seikannon (Kannon Bosatsu) which height is ●●m, was established by Ms. Sadako Mori(deceased).
This is a grave of the enshrined type.

Kobetsu Eitai kuyobo

Kobetsu Eitai kuyo grave
This type of tomb is in the middle of a traditional tomb and a grave to perform memorial service for a longer period.
It was started scince year 2020.

The courtyard shows various scenes depending on the season.

33 Kannons
33 Kannon (commonly called Guan Yin) are enshrined in the shrine's large precinct.
